Welcome to Matau! This guide will help you get started by walking you through the process of creating an account and setting up your business on Matau.

Step 1: Sign Up For Admin Users

You can either sign up manually by filling in the form with your first name, last name, and business email and creating a password, then clicking on “Create an Account” to proceed, or sign up using your Google account by clicking “Continue with Google.”

  • Requirement: You must use your company email to sign up, not a personal email. This ensures your account is tied to your business, allowing for better integration and security.

  • Password: To enhance the security of your account, create a complex password with at least 8 characters, including one special character.

Why do I need to use a company email?

Using a company email ensures that your Matau account is securely linked to your business, allowing for better integration and data management.

Step 2: Company Info

During onboarding, provide details about your company to help us tailor our services to your needs. This information lets Matau understand how you intend to use the platform, enabling us to offer personalized insights and recommendations.

Details Required:

  • Full Name

  • Company Name

  • Nature of Your Business

  • Industry

  • Company Size

  • Primary Users of Matau

Step 3: Upgrade Plan

You can start with the Individual Plan, which offers a one-month free trial and upgrade as needed. This Plan is ideal for testing Matau’s capabilities. Once you are familiar with Matau, you can upgrade to the Team Plan or Growth Plan based on your needs.

Can I change my plan later?

Yes, you can start with the Individual Plan to test Matau and upgrade to the Team or Growth Plan as your needs evolve.

Step 4: Connect Data Source

To leverage Matau’s insights, connect either Shopify or WooCommerce as your main data source. Matau provides Business Intelligence (BI) for sales, inventory, and customer performance by collecting data from these sources to provide accurate and actionable answers. Note that Matau will not function without a connected data source.

What happens if I don’t connect a data source?

Matau requires a connected data source to function. Without it, the platform cannot provide insights or analytics.

Joining Matau as a Team Member

When your company purchases a Matau account, the admin can invite team members to join. Here’s the process for team members being invited to Matau.

  1. Receive Invitation Email: As a team member, you will receive an email from Matau containing an invitation link. This link is your gateway to joining your company’s Matau account.

  2. Click the Invitation Link: Click on the link provided in the email. This will navigate you to the Matau sign-up page.

  3. Sign Up: You can either sign up manually by filling in the form with your first name, last name, and business email and creating a password, then clicking on “Create an Account” to proceed, or sign up using your Google account by clicking “Continue with Google.”

  4. Accept the Invitation: Unlike admin users who go through a detailed onboarding process, as a team member, you will only need to complete one step after signing up: accepting the invitation to join the Matau team. Once you accept the invitation, your account will be linked to your company’s Matau account.

By following these steps, you will successfully join your company’s Matau account as a team member. This streamlined process ensures you can quickly start leveraging Matau’s powerful insights and analytics as part of your team.
